Helping break records for Byte Night 2009
On the night, as well as the sleep out itself there was a quiz and an auction featuring items such as a private dinner for 12 at Corrigan’s Mayfair and limited edition artwork by Joanna Lumley. This contributed over £25,000 to the total. The money raised will help Action for Children tackle the root causes of youth homelessness.
This year Byte Night attracted over 700 sleepers at events in London, Manchester, Newcastle/Gateshead, Scotland and Thames Valley. Together, everyone raised over £560,000 - with even more sponsorship expected in the weeks and months to come. This year looks set to be a record breaker!
Sue Gardner, Group Business Development Manager said “It’s been great being involved in such a superb event for such a worthwhile cause. Following the progress of the event via our sister agency Wilson Miller and their involvement with the marketing activity for the event has been spectacular, especially as this year looks to be a record breaker! Now we’re just looking forward to next year’s event.”
